My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

As you can see from her photos, Pansy is a beautiful brindle girl with just enough white to make her falshy. She is very sweet and gentle, and just a little shy until she gets to know her. Once she gets comfortable, she is playful and wags her tail a lot. She walks easily on a leash and rides fine in a car or SUV. She is already house trained and has good house manners. Pansy would do best in a quiet home without small children since loud noises seem to scare her. She would also do best in a home as an only dog, at least for now. She becomes a little frightened around other dogs in the household when they get too active and playful, and has tended to nip at them when this happens. She is not an alpha dog at all. The nipping behavior is defensive, and will improve as she gains more confidence. Pansy is a graduate of the Second Chance at Life Greyhound Prison Program (see our website:www.bayareagreyhound.org) for more information on this wonderful program. Pansy spent 9 weeks with the inmate handlers at Gadsden Correctional Institution near Tallahassee. They taught her several commands such as sit, stay, down, come, wait, shake hands, etc. Being in the prison program helps the inmates. In the worst of situations, the greyhounds make a huge difference in the inmates' lives by giving them a way to contribute the the community in a positive way and to experience the unconditional love a dog can give. Pansy Snow's $350 adoption fee includes her spay, teeth cleaning, all vaccines, collar and leash, adoption guide, microchip, grooming mit, stuffie toy, transportation to and from the prison facility, training DVD, an a greyhound tote bag.
