Kora's Story...
Kora is a sweet girl who gets along well with other dogs, both large and small. She loves to romp and play so she is hoping for a home with a fenced in yard to play in. Kora and her mom, Dora (also listed on this site) have been through alot in the last year, including recovering from heartworm. Their dream is to find a forever home where they could be together. Kora is doing fabulous in her foster home! According to her foster mom, Terri, Kora is a very playful pup. She loves for people to pet her. Kora looks for approval from people and seems to be a fast learner. She is crate trained and knows some commands (e.g., "get in your cage", "hurry up", etc.). She would make a great addition to a family! **All our pets are in partner shelters in the south unless marked "In Maine" or "In New England". **

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kora, a kennebunkport American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in kennebunkport, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in kennebunkport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in kennebunkport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a kennebunkport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in kennebunkport paves the way for another one to be saved.
