Sangria - MD's Story...

ADOPTION PENDING!

UPDATE 4/29/10: Sangria likes to go for a walk on leash, and also enjoys sniffing in the fenced back yard at her foster home. She does not seem to enjoy being in a multiple dog household, so we think she would do best as either an only dog, or with one other calm dog. She prefers to sleep with a person in the big bed, and does not like to be crated. Sangria will have a dental cleaning on 5/11/10 & will be ready to be adopted after that.

Sangria is a 4 year old 16.5 lb red smooth dachshund looking for her forever home. She has only been in rescue for 1 day, so we will tell you what we know about her so far and update later. Sangria is a sweet girl who is friendly but reserved. She seems okay with strangers, but is a little wary around young children. She is good with other dogs as long as they respect her space. Sangria was in a home with a puppy biting at her and trying to get her to play, and she did not like that at all. She likes to be near people and to sleep in the big bed. Sangria is spayed and up to date on her vaccines like all CCDR dogs. Her adoption fee is $225. For more information about Sangria, please email her CCDR representative at marcey789@yahoo.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sangria - MD, a Jacobus Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Jacobus, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Jacobus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacobus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacobus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacobus paves the way for another one to be saved.
