Vince's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Vince's Story...
Vince is an adorable 10 month old shih tzu/poodle/schnauzer surrendered because his owners had too many dogs. He is very nervous at first with strangers but extremely affectionate once he warms up and is fine with other dogs. He is looking for a quieter adult home that will provide the training and socialization he lacked in his previous home. Please submit an application if you are interested. He is about 12-15 pounds full grown, and is neutered and updated on shots.

We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes or boarding kennels and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash). To help us better match a pet to your household, we request you fill out an application on our homepage and copy and paste it into an email, or print it and bring it to our adoption day when you come. Local inquiries only please- we do not do long distance adoptions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vince, a Oak Ridge Shih Tzu/Schnauzer (Miniature) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Oak Ridge, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Schnauzer (Miniature) puppy from a breeder in Oak Ridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Ridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Ridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Ridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
