MARIO is a very handsome, male American Staffordshire Terrier with unique grey and white markings and hazel eyes. He is 1 to 2 years old and weighs about 35 lbs. He arrived at the shelter on December 05, 2005.
MARIO is a very friendly gentleman and quite playful. He needs leash training which he is now getting with the shelter volunteer dog walkers. He will do well with an owner who will continue his training. See below for our policy to assist in your dog training program if you adopt one of our dogs.
There is a 7-day stray dog owner claim wait period before he can be neutered and adopted. Applications are currently being accepted. NOTE: Renters, you will need landlord approval before the pet is released to you for adoption. We always adopt to the best home, not necessarily first application in. Dog adoptions are $85 each and include a spay or neuter, current shots, flea treatment (if required), "New Owner" folder packed full of helpful information, 1-free (from list) Veterinary basic health examination within 5 days of adoption, and microchip.
All our dogs come with a SPECIAL BONUS, at your option, of up to $80.00 toward training expenses, within 6 months of adoption for a smooth and lasting transition into your household. Please ask for complete details at the time you adopt your new companion dog.
