Connie's Story...
Although Miss Connie came to us very timid and submissive, she has blossomed into a huge bundle of love and energy! She loves long walks and likes to sniff every blade of grass and chase birds. She has been fostered with two other female JRT's and several cats and gets along with all. She plays with one female Jack and respects the other's warnings that she does not want to play. She loves attention and belly rubs. She also loves to crawl into a lap to watch TV or nap in the evenings - and I suspect that she would cuddle in bed as well. Miss Connie knows some basic commands such as sit and get down, dances for treats, and is a fast learner. She is house trained, but occasionally when she gets excited to go out may dribble a little. When playing or getting petted, she has a little "play bite" going on as if she was allowed to do so with previous owner, but quits when told "no". She also folds her huge fantastic ears into the funniest positions. This little dog has so much love to give!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Connie, a Omaha Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Omaha, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Omaha.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Omaha already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Omaha breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Omaha paves the way for another one to be saved.
