Lucy's Story...
http://www.valleydogs.org/cp_lucy.html -- Hi my name is Lucy. I am one gal that loves to move. I run, jump and just want to play with my son. His name is Zeus and he has been adopted. Actually moved to Colorado! So, now it is my time.

I have the speed of a greyhound as well as the love but am more the size of an Aussie Heeler/ shepherd. Just look at those ears. I am great with other dogs and older children (due to my speed). So, I will make a great addition to your family.

I was rescued by my foster mom and have been well cared for. I run and jump and play. I just love the water and have pools to play in.

I am looking for a loving family that I can just snuggle with.

For more information or to meet me, please complete an adoption interest form and please email mwest@valleydogs.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Gilbert Australian Shepherd/Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Greyhound for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Greyhound dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Greyhound breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
