RUMOUR's Story...

MEET RUMOUR....and "rumour has it" that she is available for adoption!! Yes, this sweet little 13 lb, apricot/white, 1.5-2 year old Poodle mix, always seems to have a smile on her face and is a real favorite with the LHH volunteers! Despite what she has been through in her young life, she is a happy dog. Rumour was dumped at the Ventura Animal Shelter by her owner because "she was too active." That just tells us that her human was a bit too lazy! This little girl enjoys playing fetch the ball for hours....and longs to be your best friend. We obviously want to make sure that her next home is her forever home. That would include another playful dog, who is the same size or bigger than Rumour. Kids over 10 yrs old would be great, as Rumour loves kids -- but she can be a little "puppy" mouthy, so working on this is going to be a #1 priority!! Our trainer has been working with her and in the home, Rumour really has come a million miles! Her mom says she loves to take her in her arms, hug and kiss her....and Rumour returns the love with stealth kisses back! She is the kind of dog you could easily take on hikes and runs, and exercise should be a part of her world. She is still 100% puppy and if you have lost something in your house....she will probably find it for you! She will definitely make you a better housekeeper!! Curious about EVERYTHING! Most of all, Rumour likes being with people, playing and another pup who can keep up with her. She also loves to be outside roaming the backyard, playing on the grass and will use a doggy door if there is one. Rumour would love to have a home where she will get lots of love, attention and belly rubs!! Rumour is a gem who will steal your heart!

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

RUMOUR, a Los Angeles Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
