My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi World,
My name is Chester and I'm a darling little bichon boy of five - as happy and loving as I can be. I'm good with dogs, cats and children -- and am very mellow and well behaved. I love to go on long walks - or to sit in your lap and snuggle for hours.

While I am affectionate, and you can tell that from the way I look at you, I don't give a lot of doggy kisses. Instead, I'm happy just to be near you - and will smile at you and make you smile back. (With my little underbite it looks like I'm smiling even more!)

My foster Mom says I'm very smart - smart enough to tip-toe around Christmas ornaments - and that I tell her when I'm hungry, in a very gentle and adorable way. Mom also says I do the cutest thing: I clap my paws when I want to be picked up! Then I cuddle in your arms or on your lap, smiling contentedly the whole time.

I'm slimming down to my fighting weight of about 15 pounds and I'm totally housebroken. Mom says I'm very sweet and very quiet - and rarely bark. (She has only heard me bark one time!) Most of all she says I want to please and to show you what a good boy I am! I have a genetic cataract in one eye but the vet says that I see well and don't need surgery. What I need, instead, is a forever home where I can be someone's loyal companion. If you have a quiet and peaceful home - where I can snuggle and adore you - please ask for me. I'm Chester and I'm waiting to be yours.
