Meet MINNIE - the petite little cocker girl that is so cute you just want to pick her up and never put her down! Minnie had cataract surgery last year and then recently had to have her left eye removed due to glaucoma. Now she is a one-eyed winking girl. We are sure glad we got her cataract surgery when we did so that at least she is sighted in her right eye.
Minnie is also on thyroid medicine for an under-active thyroid and ever since her thyroid levels have been balanced out, she has so much energy and has been acting like a teenager! We never saw this side of Minnie before and now we can say that she really enjoys going for long, quick-paced walks and she also likes to play with the other dogs and mouth wrestle with them. She is a sweet girl and has an independent spirit. We don't know how old Minnie is but we are guessing around nine years of age? We rescued her from the shelter with her newborn puppy, who has since been adopted.

Why Adoption is a Great Option
Minnie, a Sherman Oaks Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Sherman Oaks, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Sherman Oaks.
- Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sherman Oaks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
- On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sherman Oaks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
- You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sherman Oaks paves the way for another one to be saved.
