Yogi is a very sweet red & white boy, about 1 year old. He is our hard luck boy who needs a Christmas miracle and a new forever home.
Yogi was found hanging around a neighborhood for about three weeks when a Good Samaritan finally took pity on him and brought him to us. Some other neighbor had been feeding him and they thought he might have been hit by a car when he first showed up in the area.
Yogi came bouncing in to greet us, severely limping on one front leg, which had a few healing cuts and scrapes on it. When we examined him, we felt that something was wrong with the other front leg as well, even though he was using that one fairly well. Imagine our shock & horror when we x-rayed his front legs and discovered that this little boy had broken not just one, but BOTH front legs!!! Yogi now has a splint on the one leg that hasn't healed well yet & is doing very well. He runs and plays with other dogs, likes our clinic cats, and LOVES everyone he meets.
We have been so impressed with the amazing spirit of this little corgi! We can only imagine the pain he must have been through with two broken front legs, no home, no relief. I'm not sure he would have even survived had someone not at least been feeding him. Even more amazing is that Yogi displays an incredible trust in people and a happy playful attitude.
