I am already neutered, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.
**update 04/2012***Pete is now 3yrs old and is still hoping to find the right person to be his furrever person. Pete has grown into a very handsome, strong, dominant boy who needs an active owner to keep him busy. He needs a home with a secure, solid, 6' physical fence, no other animals and no kids please.
update-4/2010-Pete is now 15 months old and still waiting for a new home. He would do best in a home with a submissive female or as an only dog and no kitties please. He is very loyal and devoted to his people and bonds quickly. He does well on leash and is clean in his crate!
Pete, formerly known as Skinny Pete, came to us from a kill shelter where he was dumped...DAAWGS was called to pick up this tiny, emaciated puppy that they thought was about 3 months old...you could see every rib, every hip point, he was so sad.....so we picked him up and brought him to his foster Mom...at his first vet visit, we discovered that he was at least 4 months old and only 10lbs!!!! Poor Pete was so neglected, he didnt even look his age. Now, Pete has grown a bit and is more like 35lbs and about 7 months old...he will never be a big guy, his rough start in life has likely stunted his growth...but hes filled out and learning how to be a dog!

We are a 501C3 tax-exempt organization. Our Mission is to measurably improve the lives of unwanted domestic animals and to prevent their needless suffering and death; to increase public awareness of the plight of these animals; to rescue, maintain and place animals abandoned to kill-shelters and discarded by volume breeders; and finally, to educate the public about the social issues associated with pet overpopulation and the benefits of spaying and neutering their pets.
Our fees are based upon age and health of the dogs and cats. All applicants are required to complete an application and agree to a home visit. We require a signed contract.
