K.C's Story...
What is a beautiful girl like me doing here?  Well I’ll tell you.  I am little bit more dog than I appear to be.  I was destructive in my last home and they were not willing to crate train me so I was returned to the pound instead!  Luckily these folks took me in and have worked on crate training me, so I’m good to go!  Could you ask for a more perfect little gal?  I’m pretty and witty and love to play!  I am good with other pets and I am great with children . I am full grown at about forty-five pounds so a great sized little lady to.  Come on in and take me home.  We can start over together! 2 years old-45lbs. My adoption fee is $150 and includes adoption supplies.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

K.C, a Portland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
