Howdy's Story...
Come over and say howdy to Howdy. I was given up by my previous owner because I was “too scared to be a watch dog." Hey, what was he thinking? I don’t even own a watch! So now I’m an adorable guy looking for a home. I love other dogs, and people, too. I guess those aren’t the kind of qualities a watch dogs possess. What is a watch dog, anyway? What are they watching? Now, I am watching and waiting for my new family to come and meet me. Does that count? (PLEASE NOTE: I can be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area only. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Howdy, a Aldie Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
