Mia's Story...
You won’t believe this. I mean, I can hardly believe it myself, and it happened to me. See, I used to live on the Marine Corps base. My owner got deployed oversees. While he’s over there fighting for our country, his wife met another man. Can you believe it? Not only that, she tied me outside on a chain. I was out there for 45 days with no food, no nothing. Thanks goodness someone found me. I was so grateful to be rescued. I’m still a little thin, but I’m gaining my strength back day by day. I love going to the pet store, playing with other dogs, and riding in the car. I am housetrained and very well-behaved. I know that I’m safe now, and I hope my owner is, too. As for his wife, well, if you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything. I hope my new family comes along soon, and when you leave for work, I will be faithfully waiting for you. (PLEASE NOTE: I can only be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia, a Aldie Rhodesian Ridgeback dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rhodesian Ridgeback for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Rhodesian Ridgeback dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who help with Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
