Tommy, Sr.'s Story...
Hi, my name is Tommy, and I'm probably one of the cutest beagle mixes you'll ever meet! If you don't believe me, just look at my ears -- I can make one stand up while the other one hangs down. Now that's impressive! I'm a super-sweet and very affectionate boy, and even though I'm 10 years old, I'm in perfect health. I'm really an ideal pet -- calm and well-behaved in the house, yet energetic enough outside to make a terrific walking companion. We beagles are known for loving the outdoors. I was adopted from FOHA many years ago, but now that my human mom is expecting a new baby, I need to find a new home. I'm not all that fond of kids, so I'd do best in a home without any. I've been a great friend and companion to my family for all these years, and while I'm sad to be leaving the life I've known, I'd be forever grateful to whomever is kind enough to let me spend the rest of my life in a loving home. I'm still living with my family, so please ask to meet me. Please email my mom at if you are interested in adopting me. (PLEASE NOTE: I can only be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tommy, Sr., a Aldie Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
