My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi People,
My name is Quincy and I'm a bright-eyed little cockapoo about one year old. I'm a handsome little guy and am quite a survivor! When you hear my story, you'll know why Bichon FurKids thinks I'm so special. You see, before coming to BFK, I spent one month in a local shelter..... Mom says that the shelter people said I was hit by a car and was unable to walk - but I showed them that I'm a fighter and now I'm walking and getting better and stronger every day. With good nutrition I'm building back to a healthy body and the vet thinks I will have a long and happy future ahead of me.

Despite my troubles I'm very sweet and loving. I really want to please - and work very hard to show you that I'm trying. There are so many things that are new to me.... I'm learning to play with toys, have mastered the doggy door and am becoming housebroken. I'm good with kids (but prefer that they be a bit older as I'm sometimes a bit unstable on my legs), am great with the vet (not easy when you've been through what I've been through) and I really respond well to praise! When you tell me I'm a good boy I just glow... and when I smile at you my big eyes get even bigger and happier.

My Christmas and New Year's wish is to find a forever family to love and nurture me... and to let me be the best little cockapoo boy that I can be.
Mom says I'd do best in a home where I can be the only dog so I can get the attention I deserve. If you have a heart full of love and compassion, and want a loyal companion to be at your side, please ask for Quincy. I'm ready for my forever family -- and I send you my love and holiday wishes!
