My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Danny! He was abandoned in a Southern California shelter along with 5 other Persians. When the shelter contacted us to take them, how could we possibly say no? So we took them all home with us and Danny has been staying with me.

Danny is a creamy reddish color and has the most amazing leopard spots on his sides and hindquarters. He has such a cute flat face and his eyes are amazingly easy to keep clean. He has some drainage and they do need to be wiped daily with a warm wet paper towel. He's in a lion cut now because when he first came to me, he was covered with so much flea dirt the water ran red when he was being shaved and groomed. Danny has probably never had it so good as he does now and he is enjoying every single minute of his newfound cleanliness and comfort. The only thing Danny needs now is his own home and his own person to love.

He follows me from room to room and when I'm in the kitchen, he supervises everything I do from the floor while looking at me with inquisitive and adoring eyes. And what great eyes he has! They are absolutely huge and round and bright orangy-yellow, they sparkle in the sunlight.

Danny is very affectionate, he loves his humans and wants to be with you as much as possible. I wake up every morning with Danny draped across my chest. He is happiest when he's sitting on my lap and watching television, he's definitely a lap cat.

Danny is quite a large Persian, for a Persian. When he first came to me he weighed a mere 9 pounds and was extremely malnourished, he's packed on weight quickly and eats like a small pony. He loves his food, wet and dry. Danny will probably weigh in at around 15 pounds when he reaches his optimal weight.

Danny loves to play, any toy, it doesn't matter, he'll run and chase and play until either you or he is exhausted.

He is a big loverboy, but would not do well with small children. He is litterbox perfect. He would be OK around a NICE dog that doesn't chase or harass him.

Danny has been combo tested for Feline Aids and Feline Leukemia and is negative for both.
