My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Seniors for Seniors candidate

Meet Bandit. He was born in November 1999, and is now 12 years old. Bandit weighs 8 pounds and is very active for his age. He currently lives in Sacramento California with his foster family. Bandit originally came into rescue in 2002 as an owner surrender (because of his owner's heath problems). Bandit was adopted in 2003 and was with this family for 7 years, but due to hardships in the family Bandit had to come back into rescue in 2010. He likes to play with his toys and will bark at you when he wants you to play with him. Bandit does spend more time "resting" than he use to, but will still play for hours if you're willing. He likes to go for walks and ride in the car. Bandit gets along with other dogs, but is starting to get a little cranky if they disturb him when he is sleeping. He likes to lay beside you when you're sitting or laying down, but is not a cuddlier and does not like to be held. Bandit is a little hand shy when you try to pet him, but the vet said it could be due to joint pain, because of his age. He is house broken and crate trained, and will use a doggie door... but he will "mark" in the house if he thinks he can get away with it. Bandit does not like cats; he tolerates small children, but will not let them touch him. Bandit will play with children if they are willing to throw his toys for him - otherwise he ignores them. Health-wise, he is in very good condition for his age. His teeth are in very good shape, and his hearing and eyesight seem to be good. Bandit would probably do best in a home without small children, but frequent visitors would be OK. If you think that you could offer this small senior a good loving home for his golden years, then he is waiting to hear from you. Here is an album with extra pix of Bandit.
