My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Coco. She lives with her foster family in Sacramento, CA. Coco was born around July 2003, and is now about 9 years old. She weighs 8 pounds and we think she's a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. Coco is house trained and will go to the back door to be let out when she needs to go. She may go on a bath mat in the house if it's cold or rainy out though. Coco will need a very special home with a single person who has the patience, love, and understanding to give her time to blossom. In her foster home, this took almost 3 months. Coco is a one person dog, and will love this one person with all her heart, but she has no room for a second person. Once she gives her love to you she will become very loving and cuddly. If you have company she's fine with going into her crate, but if you don't put her in she'll attempt to snap and nip at your company (she hates to share her person). In her foster home, Coco has a crate with the door left open 24/7, so she can come and go as she pleases. It is closed only when company's there. Coco does very well with other dogs in the home and may be OK with cats. She does not like children. Coco loves to play with toys and will chase birds in the yard. She likes to cuddle under the blankets with you at night, and will "dance" for a treat. Coco travels very well in the car but does fight the leash. Taking her out to someplace like the dog park or Petsmart really freaks her out because "the big bad world" really scares her. She would much prefer to stay at home and run around the yard, or sit in your lap. Coco would be a very good companion for an older person who lives alone and does not get a lot of company. If you think that she could fit into your life or if you know someone who she would be a good match for, she's waiting eagerly to hear from you. To see more pix of me please
