Emma's Story...
Howdy! I’m Emma, a pretty little Pittie mix! I’m soooo, sweet, cuddly, and loving! I’m happy I’m a pittie mix! You know why? Well aside from the fact that we are Awesome dogs… it’s cuz I’m gonna get my own rockstar piteo!!! Boy, I sure was scared and shy when I came into animal services as a stray…I’m sure you can image how hard it is to homeless, especially when you’re only a few months old! I’m glad those nice folks transferred me here so I could be around my fellow canine friends, it makes me feel right at home! You can see a boost in my confidence already! In fact, I’m not nervous here at all, I’m a little social butterfly! Now I just need a gentle and loving person to train me, love me, and give me the lifetime commitment that I deserve!! 3 ½ months old-25lbs. My adoption fee is $240 and includes; spay, microchip, 1 month pet health insurance, reduced cost training class, free vet exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emma, a Portland Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
