Shannara's Info...
| Breed: | Domestic Shorthair | Color: | Tortoiseshell | Age: | Adult |
| Sex: | Female | ID#: | C5262 LG | Hair: | Short |
I am already spayed, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Shannara is a beautiful gray torti who followed a young girl home one day in February. Shannara was starved and underweight so the family fed her, but they were unable to keep her because of the young girl's allergies.
Shannara is affectionate and purrs when you rub her head and ears. She still gets anxious, however, so a slow, gentle hand and soothing voice are needed to keep her relaxed. She should have a quiet home where she can get over the trauma of living on the street.
Shannara was spayed not long before she was rescued. Our vet removed a row of sutures from her. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV and is current on vaccinations. Her age is unknown but is estimated to be about two years.

Rescue Group Info...
Officially, Stray Cat Blues, Inc. is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing rescue and placement to stray, abandoned, and feral cats. Personally, SCB is a small group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to find loving, life-long homes for cats. We are professional in our practices, but we are emotional on the subject of homeless cats, and the ways in which we humans can work to prevent this epidemic of strays.
Stray Cat Blues actively works to find permanent homes for the stray cats in our program. Our kittens and cats are exposed to the pet-loving public at our different adoption locations (see Come Meet our Pets section below) to facilitate adoptions and to provide visibility for our organization. Our cats can also be seen online at www.adoptapet.com.
Most of our cats offered for adoption are strays and their offspring that are rescued off the streets.
For those stray cats that are more wary of humans, especially feral cats, we can help humanely trap, sterilize and either return them if the area they live in is safe and they are being fed, or we house them and adopt them out as barn cats.
Thanks from the cats
and all of us at Stray Cat Blues!
