Oprah 'Winnie' Winfrey's Story...
Oprah Winfrey (we call her Winnie) is a gorgeous dilute Egyptian Mau. It is hard to tell from the photos because she always rather let her kids have the spotlight, but she has the most beautiful peach fur with gorgeous fawn spots all over! She looks wild and gentle all at the same time! And she has an amazing personality - she never asks for anything or fights for food - she is just quiet and happy to have your attention.
Oprah 'Winnie' got her name because she is the mother of all daytime talkshow hosts! No, really, her kids are named Ricki Lake, Jenny Jones, Star Jones, Montel Williams, and Jerry Springer! They all got their names as a little joke because Winnie is such a young mom (just 7 months - a baby herself!) that I immediately thought of teen mom talkshow episodes! Teen kittens having babies! But despite her young age, Winnie is such an amazing mother! She is attentive, loving, and appropriately bossy when 1 or 2 get out of line!
But let's not forget that she is just a kitten herself! She has been through a lot and she has handled it so well, and it is time for her to have a childhood again! It's time for her to have a chance to be the kitten she still is, so she would really like to be an only cat so that she can be the center of your attention! She deserves someone to show her the nurturing and love that she has shown her babies!
If you would like more information about Winnie (and you know you do!), please contact the organization using the link provided and copy h2trep@aol.com if you have questions for the foster parent as well.
We do not often adopt out single little kittens as they get lonely. Though we really need monetary donations, we really appreciate donated goods of any kind. Since our organization NEVER euthanizes we always need donated items and food. Also, it's kitten time and we REALLY need foster homes. Can you help?
If you would like to meet some of our kitties, we do
adoptions in Culver City every Saturday from 12-5.
