Lucille's Story...
Lucille is a calm, sweet-natured little honey who loves to snuggle and spend time pottering about with her people. She looks to us like a Corgi/Beagle/Dachshund mix, she weighs about 20 lbs, and we estimate she was born around February 2005.

This mellow sweetheart loves all humans, even little kids. She is calm and friendly with other dogs and cats. Although not a couch potato, she likes best to be inside with her human - but she also copes well with being alone, and can be trusted to wait quietly inside while you're at work. She will bark if someone comes to the door, but other than that is very quiet.

Lucille turned up on the porch of a sympathetic family in Pasco, WA, and her owner never claimed her. The family took her in but already had a full complement of dogs, and couldn't keep her. They asked us for help, and she is now in a foster home near Seattle, waiting for her forever family to come and get her.

Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, she will come to you spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. Lucille's adoption fee of $175 will help defray these costs. For more information and an adoption application, contact mikeyschance@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucille, a West Richland Beagle/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Corgi for sale in West Richland, or seeking a Beagle/Corgi dog from a breeder in West Richland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Richland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Richland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Corgi breeders who help with Beagle/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Richland paves the way for another one to be saved.
