Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Little Cricket weighs only 6.5 pounds. She is 12 years old and - until recently - had spent her entire life with the same family. But when Cricket's owner had to go into an assisted living facility, Cricket was given away. She grieved for 3 weeks, refused to eat, and lost a whole pound. Thankfully, Cricket has adjusted to her foster home, and is once more eating... with a bit of coaxing; we hope to get her back to her optimum weight (7+ pounds) soon. Cricket was spayed recently, and while under anesthesia it was discovered that she had mammary tumors. The tumors were removed, but this kind of tumor often comes back, so her new family will need to watch for them. That will be easy, as Cricket loves to roll over for belly-rubs! She also loves to sleep in bed with her person, preferably under the covers! Cricket is not fond of having her picture taken, but here's a link to her album http://imageevent.com/rattiemom/cricket
Cricket is also a little shy of young children, so a home with adults only or teenagers would make her happiest. If you have a quiet home and need a light-weight lap-warmer, please consider sweet little Cricket. Your reward will be loving companionship and eternal devotion.
