Griffin's Story...
Griffin is a beautiful two-three year old Shephard/Elkhound mix weighing approximately 50lbs. Griffin was found wandering as a stray and spent a month at the local shelter before coming to WAFAR. Griffin behaves well in a house environment, but he is still a playful guy who will require a leash or secure lead at all times. He loves to play, sleep by your feet, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Griffin should not be placed in a home with feline family members as he shows too much interest in them. He does well with children and enjoys car rides. Griffin's ideal home would have a playmate or two as he is most confident and comfortable with other dogs around. Contact us today to learn more about this handsome guy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Griffin, a WOOSTER German Shepherd Dog/Norwegian Elkhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Norwegian Elkhound for sale in WOOSTER, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Norwegian Elkhound dog from a breeder in WOOSTER.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in WOOSTER already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a WOOSTER breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Norwegian Elkhound breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Norwegian Elkhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in WOOSTER paves the way for another one to be saved.
