My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kaya was pulled out of an Ohio shelter at almost literally the last minute . . . and what a save she was! Though the pictures came from the shelter are are quite poor, everyone who meets this 2-year-old pup has found her to be very beautiful. She is just a big fuzzy love-bug, who lives happily with 3 adoring children. She enjoys nothing more than being fussed over by her two-legged “siblings”. Kaya has taken over as Queen of the Household – at least among the canine occupants – and we believe this pretty lady would do best as the only dog. Given this much to love, what more could you possibly need? Kaya is listed as “special needs” because she has been diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia, which is actually fairly common in this breed. She presently does pretty well on glucosamine supplements and aspirin therapy, but does sometimes experience days where she is uncomfortable and prefers to be a little less active. In addition, Kaya has obviously been “man-handled” in the past and is collar-shy, though even the young children in her foster family have found this to be easily manageable. Kaya is a kissy girl with a lot of love to give – are YOU the one who will offer this beautiful, special girl a loving home to call her own?

Her adoption donation, and what it includes Kaya’s adoption donation is $200. If you know how much it costs to give a new dog responsible vet care, you can easily see that this is quite a bargain! She has had a complete health exam, has already been spayed, is microchipped, has tested negative for heartworm, has been kept on heartworm and flea preventative, is fully vaccinated and free of parasites.
