Shasta loving's Story...
adoption process and application at

located in Redding with

Shasta LOVES water and her toys she's active, fun, loving, loves to make eye contact and snuggle, looking for the best of best homes where she can be spoiled like a little princess exactly what she deserves

Shasta is in her foster home, loves her Royal Canine food and gaining her needed weight

she is very thin from it and will need to gain about 10-15 pounds before we will get her spayed so will not be ready for another month, end of July beginning of Aug

Shasta is a beautiful gal around 1-1.5 years maybe younger, maybe 45 pounds and will need to gain 10-15 pounds (and doing so with the best food out there) now that she had her babies, she will be ready once she has been spayed

we are taking applications for her now the right adopter may be able to meet her if in this area otherwise hold with hold deposit after being fully approved

she is HW NEG and UTD on shots and chipped before will be spayed as well as de wormed and tape wormed

She seems to be fine with most other dogs while in her fenced yard but we are still only looking to adopt to dog experienced, active, stable family as only pet

We don't know much about Shasta yet as she has been in prison for 2 months now boarded at Vets and hopefully in her forever home soon

She's not good with other dogs or at least with some so a only dog home for her only and dog experienced prefer breed experience
she LOVES her humans and will wiggle that boxer butt and dance when she sees you

we will know more later once she can finally settle in, relax and have her hormones back to normal after being spayed and in a calm, quiet environment versus being at a loud Vets office

we do not know how Shasta is around other dogs (only what we where told by pound staff and Vet) and will not know until she's done weaning her babies and hormones no longer running wild as of right now she does not like other dogs around but that could be because of her pups and the stress she has went through being in prison throughout her whole pregnancy,
she gave birth to her babies on May 11th

In the mean time we are only looking for families that want one dog and have no others at home unless things change in the next few months and we get to know the real Shasta that is settled and happy but hopefully she can get settled in a permanent home versus a foster home instead

adoption fee, home check vet references, fenced yard

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shasta loving, a Sacramento Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
