Lexus's Story...
Lexus is a super girl and very kind. Lexus MUST be adopted in the Columbus area. She will sit on your lap and beg for hugs and kiisses. She has not one mean bone in her and she has been through a lot lately. She will sleep with you and will purr the entire time. Lexus is not your typical "tortie" as she has no catitude at all. She will get along well with other cats and a cat friendly dog. She is a Tortoiseshell and we will get newer pictures of her soon. She is just over 2 and 1/2 yrs of age. We require an adoption application and approval before we set an appointment to meet the cat as all of our cats are in private homes for foster care. Please email us for an application at ccrescue614@yahoo.com. This is our policy and no exception will be made. Thank you for your interest. As a policy for our rescue we do NOT adopt cats/kittens for gifts. We have to screen the adopter who will be owning the cat. Not a person who is thinking to give as a gift. So if you are looking to adopt for a family member LIVING IN THE SAME HOME AS YOU, then you can apply. We make no exception to this policy for those wanting to adopt a cat/kitten to give as a gift. If you are interested and want to pay the adoption fee for the person adopting, to help them adopt, then we screen them and you pay the adoption fee. This is a good option and has been done before. We have all our policies to protect our cats and appreciate your thinking of a rescue kitty.

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a small rescue located in Columbus, Ohio and surrounding area. Our cats come primarily from shelters and are then vetted and put into foster homes until they are placed in a forever home. We take in cats who are at risk then put them into rescue where they are safe and are at NO risk to be put to sleep. They are in private homes being fostered and then we work to get them adopted in homes to be loved and taken care of by their adoptive family for the remainder of their lives. We take adoptions very seriously. we are not a 501c3 at this time, but do hope to gain this status in the future. We are always taking donations to help pay vet bills and buy food for the cats in foster. We do not have 501c3 status so we can NOT give a tax deductible receipt for any donations. If you are interested in donating funds and would prefer to donate directly to the veterinary clinic we use in Columbus, please send an e-mail and we can share information with you where to donate.

We then review the application and check references, after review and verification of information we do a phone interview. Following all information being shared and discussed in application or in the phone interview a home visit is scheduled. After all of these steps are finished an appointment to meet the cat is set up. All cats are in private foster homes and an appointment must be set to meet and all applicants must be screened before an appointment can be set NO EXCEPTIONS!
