Mimi's Story...
DOB March 1, 2009. Meet Mimi. This sweet girl is an absolute doll! She has been in foster care for several years now so we really hope to find her and her sister Cazzy a forever family soon! They were rescued from an alleyway in the west end of Toronto off of a busy street. Originally they were going to be Trap-Neuter-Returned, but it quickly became clear that they were too social to return to a feral cat colony. Mimi has really changed and come into her own in her last few years as a foster cat! Initially very timid and shy, she is quite sweet now and comes looking for attention. Cazzy and Mimi have been through a lot together and so they need to stay together; they are a bonded pair. Mimi is also great with other cats, so if you have other cats in your home she and Cazzy will fit in well. Mimi is a very special girl and would be an excellent addition to a loving family who would be patient in having her adjust to them.

About Toronto Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Toronto Cat Rescue is a registered, no-kill charity run by volunteers.

Our mission is to rescue and find homes for abandoned, sick or injured cats from situations of abuse, neglect or imminent euthanasia.

Our vision is for Toronto to be a city in which no adoptable cat is killed and rescue organizations such as Toronto Cat Rescue are no longer needed.

Our registered charity number: 889-198-727-RR-0001

Our Adoption Process...

***For the month of April, all Toronto Cat Rescue cats who are 8 months or older will have a reduced adoption fee of $80 (seniors cats 8 years or older are a donation of your choice).

Decided on the kitty you would like to adopt? Please call the TCR Hotline - 416-538-8592 (press 1 for adoptions and leave a message).

An adoption coordinator will return your call and give you more details about the cat you are interested in and ask some questions about your home to make sure the cat will be a "purr-fect" fit. We are happy to answer any questions you may have as well.

Next you will be supplied with the foster home address to have a meet and greet with your kitty. If both parties are happy, you can sign the TCR Contract of Adoption, pay the adoption fee and take your kitty home with you (in a safe carrying case).

Adoption fee is $175 per cat. This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. It includes 6 weeks of free pet insurance. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!

Note: ALL senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopters choice, vs. our standard adoption fee of $175.
