Amos--PETSMART's Story...
UPDATE--You can now meet Amos in person at the Muncie PetSmart! Amos is a big, nice boy who is more speckled than striped. He approximate date of birth is in June 2007 and he has grown into a really great cat. He loves to play with all kinds of toys and does well with other cats. He would adjust easily to gentle children and dogs. He enjoys being petted and getting attention but he is not a big lap cat most of the time. His right eye has some damage, most likely from an upper respiratory infection before he was found and brought to us, but it does not require constant medication. When he is stressed, it does run a little and needs to be wiped out. Occasionally, some eye ointment can be used if needed. Can you take Amos home with you?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amos--PETSMART, a Muncie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Muncie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Muncie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Muncie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Muncie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Muncie paves the way for another one to be saved.
