My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE--You can now meet Tandoori in person at the Muncie PetSmart. Tandoori is a very sweet and pretty girl. Her approximate date of birth is in May 2008. When she was found, she did have an upper respiratory infection which was treated immediately. When all of her other symptoms were gone, she still had a hard time breathing and eating. The vet discovered that she had a polyp blocking her throat. They removed it when they spayed her and she was able to breathe and eat with ease. Unfortunately, about 5 weeks later, she began to have problems again. We were lucky to have a specialist available to check her out and he found that the entire polyp had not been removed the first time and it was already growing back into her throat and up through her ear canal. During a complex and costly surgery, the polyp has been completely removed. The specialist has assured us that the polyp was benign (NOT cancerous) and that it is extremely unlikely that it will recur because he was able to remove all of it. She was quite thin when she came to us but now that the entire polyp is gone, she is at a really good weight! She is a playful girl and enjoys being petted and but is not a big fan of being held. She loves to play in the sink, even letting the water run over her head! Such a silly girl! She has quite the loud purr! You can hear her coming for her loving. After a normal adjustment period, she does very well with other cats and would easily adjust to children and dogs. Tandoori is ready and willing to fall in love with a new family. Are you the right ones for her?
