Chubby Adopted !!!'s Story...
Chubby is a seven year old who was turned in after her elderly owner could no longer care for him.He is about 13-14 pounds, and was obviously loved by his owner. He had eye fold surgery because the folds were rubbing on his eyes. He will need eye drops every day and he is learning that they are okay.Just hold a little peanut butter in front of him while you drop it in his eyes. :-) He also takes thyroids medication which is very inexpensive. He does well with other dogs in his foster home.

We adopt in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, and some parts of NC. We require a home and vet check. Chubby's adoption fee is $250.00 If you would like more info on Chubby please email: potomacpekes@Gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chubby Adopted !!!, a Richmond Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
