Tess's Story...
Tess is the typical Border Collie puppy...a hand full. Like any pup Tess needs training to become a good citizen. And please note that Border Collies are "puppy like" for many years so training is a must in this breed. Across the US, county pounds, humane societies and rescues are filled with puppies because most people are clueless when it comes to the know how to turning a puppy into a great dog so as soon as the puppy does puppy things they throw it away. So unless you are willing to attend obedience training classes and do lots of dog socializing Puppies of any breed are not for you.
Tess is a Purebred 10 month old female Border Collie. She is registered with ABCA. Tess is spayed and UTD on shots and HW neg. She is crate trained and housebroke and like any BC is learning commands quickly. Tess is an owner turn in due to her puppyism. If you would like more information or to make an appointment to meet Tess call or email Indian Summers Ohio Border Collie Rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tess, a Minerva Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Minerva, or seeking a Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Minerva.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minerva already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minerva breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minerva paves the way for another one to be saved.
