Jacko's Story...
Name is Jacko and I will be oh so happy to meet you. I have been
through an obedience class and I am housebroken and crate trained. I am
a one year old Border Collie so I’ve got a lot of energy and there is
lots of playfulness in this striking little body. I am hoping to find
someone who knows what a commitment is and wants a fun dog that will be
active and would love to learn more, more, more! I am not a couch potato
no, no, no! Frisbee, ball, daily activity, that would suit me best but
don’t get me wrong I am not a guy who lacks manners! I am just a sweet
pup searching for a forever home where there is fun but also rules to
guide me into the best guy I could be! See ya soon!1 year old-40lbs. My adoption fee is $160 and includes; current shots, neuter, microchip, 5 week Training Class, free veterinary exam ,1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jacko, a Portland Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Portland, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
