Candy von Janay's Story...
Janay is our volunteer pictured above who took in these wonderful puppies at 2 weeks of age and has been bottle feeding them for weeks to get them ready for adoption. The puppies were given to us by someone who walked up to our adoption site and asked if we can take them - no mom in site. Janay has done a wonderful job raising these adorable puppies, no matter how little sleep she got in the first few weeks. They are now ready for adoption, eating puppy kibble. They're 8 weeks old Shepherd mix puppies, and we can't believe how gorgeous they turned out to be. They will be on the larger side once fully grown. They are well socialized with other dogs and people and are happy, friendly pups. The adoption fee for each puppy is $450.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Candy von Janay, a Los Angeles German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
