Dallas's Story...
Dallas is 1 year old and the only survivor of his litter from the distemper virus. He recently broke his hip and had surgery to remove the bone. He is on the mend and we are building up his muscle, so he will have full usage of his leg! Dallas is a special needs boy, because he will need physical movement of his leg to help build muscle. Plus he will have teeth issues when he is a bit older. We are thinking, it's the distemper after effects. ( He does not have distemper anymore! Just remaining after effects) He is an active boy that will require physical activity "everyday!" He is crate-trained and currently going through our training program. He knows how to walk on a treadmill to release excess energy and also runs behind our quad! He does well with other dogs and cats! Since Dallas is young, he can be a little pushy with play and affection. He is learning social manners and is doing great on his housetraining! He is still a young pup that needs lots of socialization and interaction! If you think you can provide daily activity and you are interested in meeting Dallas, please fill out an application at www.EnlightenedCanines.com under our "adoption process page" and tell us more about you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dallas, a Moreno Valley Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Moreno Valley, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Moreno Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Moreno Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Moreno Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Moreno Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
