Blackie's Story...
My name is Blackie. I'm a typical laid-back lab. I love to play with kids and other dogs. I've met cats, but they haven't interested me much, although I'm pretty easy going, so I might like 'em if I got to know 'em. I'm well leash trained and love to go for walks. I'm house trained, but I pee a bit when I'm excited or reprimanded. I was abused when I was little, so sometimes I still get a little scared, but not too much anymore. I dream about a family with a fenced yard and kids and another dog to run around with, too. I'm generally a pretty easy-going guy, but I'm only about 8 months old, so I still act like a puppy sometimes. I'd love to have a loving home and I promise to give all my love to you, too! I'm great with hugs and kisses and I'd sit on your lap if I could fit. My foster mom, Cathy, can tell you more about me if you'll call her at (619) 822-1577 or email her at catherine888@mac.com. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blackie, a Chula Vista Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Chula Vista, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Chula Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chula Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chula Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chula Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
