Susie's Story...
Susie-Q here, what’s the happs? I’ll tell you what! I’m sure happy some nice folks found me and my daughter. We’d been eating out of the same rotten stinking garbage bag for days! Glad to finally be somewhere where I am getting good food, shelter and love! Now I just need someone to adopt my daughter Amy, and then someone to adopt me. I’m super friendly, social, smart, and quick to learn. I’m one of those after school specials, you know – “babies having babies”. I’m only a year old! Sill a pup myself! Can’t wait for some training and a lot of love, I assure you, I’m worth it!!! 1 year old-37lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; spay, microchip, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, reduced cost training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Susie, a Portland Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
