Travis (SIAR foster)'s Story...
Travis is about 6-7 months old and a very affectionate, relatively quiet, well-mannered & responsive pup. He is doing wonderfully with leash and crate training. Rescued from a government shelter, his history is unknown. His body shape is more like a herding breed than these pictures show. His coat is medium in length, but seems to be a single layer - doesn't shed much. It is unknown where the brindle coloring may have come from genetically. Totally cute!

Travis is not a Greyhound Friends for Life foster.
This is a courtesy listing as the foster home rescues for several organizations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Travis (SIAR foster), a Santa Rosa Australian Cattle Dog/Belgian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Belgian Shepherd for sale in Santa Rosa, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Belgian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Santa Rosa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Rosa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Rosa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Belgian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Belgian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Rosa paves the way for another one to be saved.
