Arnold's Story...
Arnold is an adorable two-year-old Tortoiseshell Abyssinian Guinea Pig looking for a loving home. Arnold is a wiggly, active boy, who lets you pick him up, hold him and snuggle. Arnold loves to munch on Timothy Hay and carrots including the tops. And, he squeaks, talks, whistles and chirps. He just loves attention. He is looking for a home where someone will take good care of him, keep his cage clean, and spend time playing with him. Arnold is very healthy, and while he doesn’t love it … he lets you clip his nails. His adoption fee of $30 benefits rescued pets. If you’d like to adopt him with his large cage, food, litter, bowls, and complete set-up to care for him, his adoption fee is $80. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Arnold, a Chicago Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
