Missy is about a year old and is a very special girl. We noticed her on a plea for help for dogs in Hesperia shelter (LA area). She had only a couple hours left until she was to be euthenized. I called the shelter, paid her fees and sent her off for her spay. Some lovely volunteers helped her to get here. She had the sweetest eyes I had ever seen and couldn't bear to see her put to sleep because of her breed. When she arrived here, she was sick with kennel cough and had to be nursed back to health. Missy is all better now and her personality is shining. She is a true gem. She's a very mellow little lady who loves to cuddle and give kisses. She is eager to please and very gentle. She is getting along well with our cats and other dogs. I recommend a home with male dogs though. She is house trained, crate trained, vaccinated, spayed, and is NOT much of a barker at all. She is learning to walk well on a leash and is eager to learn. Please do your research of the breed before calling. Adopting a dog is a lifetime commitment. This means providing veterinary care. Many times homeowners insurance will not cover pit bulls, please research it prior to calling. Pit bull Rescue Central has some great information and we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Our goal is to find a safe and loving home for these animals, and place them responsibly. A home check and contract is required prior to adoption. *Missy is being fostered in Stockton, Ca

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Missy;the wonderful girl, a Sacramento American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
