FROM THE TRAILER PARK TO PARADISE.
Hey there Partner! I’m Dakota and I’m big bully girl with lots of energy! They think I’m around 4 years old and I came from a pretty bad situation you see. I lived in a trailer park where my momma’s boyfriend was quite cruel to me. At one point he skipped town and left me crated and alone for days. He told my mom “he was done with me.” I just wasn’t getting enough attention and certainly no love. I’m 61 pounds, spayed, up to date on my shots and I’m heartworm negative and in fine shape. I have some allergy issues and a small ulcer on my eye that needs to be sorted out and my foster mom is trying some different foods & medicines to see if that helps.
I like kids and people and most other dogs but I can come across as little loud so sometimes other dogs are scared of me at first. Once they get to know me things will be okay. My foster mom says slow introductions are the best for me. Female dogs might take me a bit longer to get used to, and I’m not quite sure what cats are. I’m potty trained and don’t chew on anything off limits. I have no trouble getting up and down the stairs. I’m super good when you clean my face and ears and touch my paws. I like riding in cars and going for walks and I just want to be with you. Just don’t yell at me. Okay, okay, so I need a little brush up on that whole manners issue but I learn pretty fast. I really, really want a family that will just love me and give me attention. I haven’t had a lot of that in my lifetime.

Dakota’s adoption fee is $500. Our adoption criteria for Dakota are as follows:
- CEBR Adoption Radius Only. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- No children under 8 years old due to CEBR’s policies.
- A fenced yard or a family that will always commit to having me on leash.
- A home committed to helping me brush up on my manners.
- Proper ongoing care to thwart any new allergy issues and please keep a keen “eye” on my eye!
