History
Sydney was found wandering the streets in Phoenix. She was very pregnant, hungry and scared. Some kind people stopped their car and got out to help her. She ran straight up to them and flopped over on her back for belly rubs. They helped her find her way to a Paw Placement volunteer who has cared for her since November. Sydney had six very adorable puppies and cared for them like the great mom that she is. I can't say enough great things about this wonderful dog. She is so loving, gentle, and affectionate with everybody she meets. She was not so sure of other dogs while pregnant and nursing but now that her body is getting back to normal she is learning to play with her foster dogs and really seems to enjoy their company. Sydney still flops over on her back for belly rubs whenever someone comes to see her. Life couldn't have been easy for Sydney when she was on the streets but she's adjusted to the pampered life so well that you'd never even know it. She's learned to sit and takes treats so nicely. She's pretty well potty trained and will do anything just to sit and be petted. Sydney doesn't have any destructive behaviors (except for the occasional digging in the flower beds), never barks, and hardly sheds at all. I can't think of a more perfect companion for a family that will treat her like the princess that she is. For more info about Sydney and the puppies, check out http://www.sproutstrategies.com/sydney.
