Edward's Info...

Edward's Story...
When I was found I had obviously been abused. Someone had tied a string around my belly with a knot and left it there- I grew and it did not stretch! It has become embedded in my skin and I had to have it surgically removed.
I am still really scared of the big wide world. If you take it very slowly I will let you pet me but you do have to take it very slow. I need a forever home where everyone is willing to spend lots of time giving me gentle attention to help me get my confidence back. I am now looking for a secure and friendly place to stay.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Edward, a Mission Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Mission, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Mission.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission paves the way for another one to be saved.
