Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Paco's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Paco's Story...
Paco is another one of those special dogs that was born with a couple of physical problems but that doesn't for a minute let that stand in his way of having a great time every chance he gets. Paco was born with some fairly significant deformities in his back legs and hips, so he is unable to walk. He can sometimes stand briefly but for the most part he drags his back legs around and he can get around quite well that way!

We have taken Paco to a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon at the University of Pennsylvania and also to a physical therapists to evaluate his back end problems. Unfortunately there isn't anything that can be done to correct his problems as his deformities are too severe.

Paco has also learned to use a wheelchair to get around and absolutely does wonderful in the wheelchair, he gets around great and he LOVES being in a wheelchair, going out for walks in the neighborhood or for special outings to the pet store or to puppy classes. Paco's physical problems do not involve his spinal cord so he is NOT incontinent and although he is still a puppy and so not fully house trained yet, he is getting better and better in that department every day.

Paco has a wonderful personality, he loves people, loves kids and although playful and active, he can also be calm and mellow. He loves to be held and cuddled. He has not been around cats and would probably chase them if given a chance. Given his handicap, a one floor home or one that has easy access to the outdoors would be a definite plus as would be a safe fenced in yard for him to run around in ... with or without his wheelies!

If you can give this wonderful puppy a permanent home, please email or call us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paco, a Philadelphia American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
