Lakoda's Story...
Introducing Lakoda-I found this little girl laying in an old cornfield while on my delivery route for Fedex. No collar, but as friendly as can be. I lured her into my delivery van with a biscuit and headed to one of my regular customer’s homes where I knew I could get some help with her-Thank you Kathy! Kathy gave her a safe haven until I finished working and she came home with me. We checked with the SPCA and placed an ad in the local paper. Kathy went around the neighborhood inquiring and no one seemed to know where she had come from or who she belonged to.
Lakoda appears to be around six-nine months old and maybe a Chow mix-she looks like a bear cub.

More as we get to know this little cutie better

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lakoda, a Rochester/Buffalo Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow for sale in Rochester/Buffalo, or seeking a Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Rochester/Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester/Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester/Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow breeders who help with Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester/Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
