Here's what the humans have to say about me:
http://www.valleydogs.org/cp_buddy-bordercollie.html -- Hi! My name is Buddy. I showed up on my foster family’s doorstep a few weeks ago scared and shaking. They pet me and took care of me and now I am just a mellow dog who loves to be petted, walked and loved. I wish I could stay with my foster family, but they have 2 other dogs, a cat, hamsters, fish, a human boy and a human baby on the way.
My foster family took me to the Vet for shots (ouch!) and we learned that I weigh 45 pounds and am approximately 1 year old. I am a little thin for my frame and I like to have my food left out all day to eat at my leisure. This can be tough with 2 other dogs in the house but we are doing our best! My foster mom thinks I am a Border Collie mix based on pictures she has seen. Whatever I am, I am super sweet and not at all aggressive, even when the other dogs are taunting me. I do have a deceptively deep bark though to scare off any bad guys if you are looking for a watch dog. I also do well with the cat.
My foster family thinks I am just great because I don’t chew up things, I am house broken (they also taught me to use a doggie door), I get along well with children and other dogs, walk great on a leash and am overall just loveable. I don’t jump up on furniture, but don’t mind joining you on the couch by invitation! Although I have never tried to attack the foster family cat, I do tend to chase her around for fun when she is around, so keep that in mind if you have cats.
