Canela's Story...
Hi, my name is Canela! That's spanish for red! My DOB is 05/01/09. I am 41 lbs. I am a german shepherd, labrador retreiver mix. I am very happy-go-lucky! As you can tell by my picture. It looks like I put my nose in a tub of ice cream!! I am one wiggly and happy girl. I have so much energy that I really need you to be someone who likes to play outside. Apartment life would not be good for me, I need to stretch my legs and play with my people. I also like treats and toys! A basic obedience class would really benefit me also, as well as building the bond with you. Can't wait to see you!

For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Canela, a Lake Odessa German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Lake Odessa, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lake Odessa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lake Odessa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lake Odessa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lake Odessa paves the way for another one to be saved.
