Baby Girl's Story...
This is Baby Girl! Her owners brought her in to be euthanized because they just could not keep her any longer. The vet could not put down such a sweet, beautiful cat so she made the decision to keep her and adopt her out. Plus she is so young, probably not quite a year yet. I always feel badly for cats that have already had a home and now they are just thrown into this stressful situation. She looks like a princess to me, she is so beautiful. She is way more beautiful in person and now that she is acclimated to being here, she is becoming more and more friendly. Just very sweet. I really want her to find her forever home and not be given up again, she deserves a second chance.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby Girl, a Ottawa Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ottawa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Ottawa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ottawa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ottawa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ottawa paves the way for another one to be saved.
